My friends Ali and Siamak

When I first started in Tennis Officiating, my goal was to become
a Line Umpire. It was all about "calling my line". But I quickly
discovered that the enjoyment was not just in working as an official.
In fact, it soon became apparent that this is only a small part of it.
Most of the joy I take from being an official, both on and off court,
comes from spending time with some other tennis fanatics.
This page features Ali and Siamak, two special friends that I met
during the 2006 and 2007 Odlum Brown Vancouver Open.
